Candidate Engagement Program Specialist

The Facebook Recruiting Team is seeking a collaborative, high-energy and customer-focused individual to support Facebook's diversity goals and objectives. The Candidate Engagement Specialist will leverage Facebook's platform and products as well as partner with the broader Recruiting and Events teams to help develop more diverse candidate pipelines that better represent Facebook's global community. We take Facebook’s mission of discovering top talent seriously and this role will play a critical part of our overall strategy.



  • Work with the recruiting team members to have a firm understanding of all open roles at a high-level.
  • Curate and manage a continuous pipeline of diverse candidates (from referrals, events, partnerships, etc).
  • Partner closely with dedicated Diversity Recruiters to help find the right landing place for these candidates ensuring a smooth candidate transition from the central team to targeted pipeline Recruiters when the time is right.
  • Screen candidates for eligibility, advise on career opportunities, and share candidate profiles with relevant Recruiters or Sourcers.
  • Track candidate progress toward goals.
  • Partner with Employee Resource Groups and Diversity Team on various recruiting initiatives and events.
  • Coach and provide Facebook team guidance to candidates.
  • Work with the Branding team to develop a “keep in touch” communications program for these candidates to hear from us periodically to keep informed about Facebook and raise interest.
  • Partner with Recruiters and Sourcers from all offices to understand talent pipelines and help plan and execute on ad hoc diversity projects and events.
  • Remain current with EEO and diversity-related laws, regulations and policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • 2+ years of demonstrated recruiting experience
  • 2+ years leading client / team collaboration across teams
  • 1+ years in screening resumes
  • Passion for a positive user experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
  • Team-oriented and collaborative
  • Ability to move fast and be responsive
  • Consistent approach of taking initiative and responsibility
