Events Marketing Manager

In our Singapore office we are looking for an experienced marketer to manage our industry event relations and regional event calendar. You’ll be tasked with a range of responsibilities, all with the goal of educating and inspiring marketers to transform their business with Facebook. This position requires experience with marketing, strong project management and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a background in event management, brand management, consulting, PR, or advertising. He or she will play an integral part in key events around the region. This individual will also collaborate with the greater marketing team and push the overall creativity of the organization. This position is a full-time contract role and based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

Oversee Facebook’s events strategy for industry events and speaking opportunities;
Develop a plan for industry events across markets including sponsorship and speaking plans;
Coordinate plans with Sales, PR, recruiting and training;
Oversee event-related design projects and manage outside agencies and freelancers;
Measure the impact of industry events and develop a plan to measure impact on an ongoing basis;
Manage and work cross functionally on key industry and advertising events across APAC;
Oversee event production for Facebook hosted events, from conception to budget to after event reviews;
Manage marketing event resources including the APAC events calendar, events budget, and event specific swag;
Coordinate logistics, including organizing vendors, catering, security, live stream/video, registration, facilities, shipping, and signage
Manage project timelines
Develop best practices and standards across Facebook, and then build on best practices for event planning, execution and measurement
Build strong industry relationships with marketing partners and key vendors
Work to incorporate more of Facebook’s platform into all event experiences

Requirements:

5-6 years professional experience;
Experience managing events in Asia, working with third party vendors in the region, MICE experience welcome;
Confident presence, working with executives both internally and externally;
Strong track record of working well in cross functional teams;
Knowledge of social media landscape and experience executing social media marketing;
Experience producing compelling marketing content for multiple audiences;
Ability to work well under pressure, with tight deadlines
Excellent eye for detail
Creative flair to bring fresh ideas into marketing campaigns;
Limited traveling required

Education

Minimum bachelors degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing or related field would be preferred;
